First-quarter slowdown in Panamá

As Panama’s outgoing administration prepares to hand over to President-elect Cortizo an official report said that in the first quarter of the year GDP was 3.1 percent, down from 4 percent in the last two quarters of 2018.

After having registered a rebound in the last two quarters of 2018 following the construction strike in April and May, this year's first quarter shows slower growth, Newsroom Panama reports.
