Thursday, January 22, 2015

Fitch Ratings put Costa Rica's sovereign rating on watch for a possible downgrade, citing the country's slow economic growth and high fiscal deficits.

The firm also affirmed Costa Rica's credit rating at double-B-plus, which is one notch below investment grade, and nine notches under the highest triple-A grade. Fellow firm Standard & Poor's Ratings Services has ranked the country's credit at double-B.
