French oil company Perenco to drill four wells at Laguna de Tigre in Guatemala

The French oil company Perenco is seeking to boost production in the Xan field at Laguna del Tirgre in the Guatemalan province of Petén.

However, the four wells to be planned must first be approved by the Ministry of the Environment.

Perenco Guatemala explained that the new wells would produce 1,500 to 2,000 barrels per day “which means $15 million a year in additional revenues for the government.”
