Gender gap makes Costa Rica lack competitive spark

Thursday, March 8, 2018

The gender gap continues to hit Costa Rica's economy by losing its competitive spark.

During 2016 and 2017 alone, the country fell by nine places in the World Economic Forum's Global Gender Gap.

In one single year, Costa Rica fell from number 32 to 41 in the ranking. Its best year ever was in 2006, when it placed at number 30.
