Thursday, June 17, 2010

The president of El Salvador, Mauricio Funes, asked his critics to allow him to govern, despite this year’s predictions for only 1 percent in economic growth.

Funes was speaking in speech to recently marked the first anniversary of his rule. Business leaders and politicians have complained about low investment and poor economic results.

“I would ask business ande political leaders to sop placing obstacles on my government and the country,” Funes said. “Please let them allow the government and the president to get on with their work.”
