Globeleq grows footprint with acquisition in Nicaragua

Globeleq announced the acquisition of the 44 megawatt Eolo wind power project in Nicaragua with Gamesa's wind turbines.

The acquisition further establishes Globeleq as a provider of renewable energy solutions in Central America.

Through Globeleq's majority owned subsidiary, Globeleq Mesoamerica Energy Limited, the company has purchased 100 percent of the interest in Eolo de Nicaragua, which has been developing the project.
