Gloom persists over Costa Rica's private sector

Costa Rica's private sector is still pessimistic concerning the direction of the country's economy, Costa Rican newspaper La República reported.

Their negative view remains despite the country's financial authorities eliminating a credit restriction on banks.

Representatives from the construction, manufacturing and agricultural sectors, the most affected by the situation, gathered with vice-president Luis Liberman and the central bank's president, Rodrigo Bolaños, to attempt to find solutions to the current problems.
