Green light for APM Terminals' Costa Rica mega-port

Thursday, March 22, 2012

Dutch firm APM Terminals has received final endorsement from Costa Rica's Comptroller General's Office to build the Moín Container Terminal.

The 33-year concession will require an estimated investment of $992 million from APM Terminals for the design, finance, construction, operation and maintenance of the world-class container terminal in the Caribbean port.

The amount represents the largest single infrastructure project in the country. The overall goal of the project is to increase Costa Rica's international commerce competitiveness.
