Guatemala aims to grow economy by 7 percent a year

The Guatemalan president, Otto Pérez Molina, said he expects that the government's fiscal reforms will lead to economic growth of 7 percent a year.

According to the central bank, Guatemala's economy is due to grow this year by between 2.9 and 3.3 percent a year.

The government, which took power on January 14 persuaded Congress early in February to approve a fiscal reform.
