Guatemala builds three new wind farms

Three wind energy projects in Guatemala expected to begin operations in May 2015 will generate 101 Megawatts.

The San Antonio El Sitio wind farm is the one closer to being complete, and will generate 52.8 Megawatts.

Investment for the San Antonio project is expected to reach $120 million, said Guatemala's Energy Minister Erick Archila.
