Guatemala faces second round in presidential election

 

TV comedian Jimmy Morales won 25.9% of the vote in Guatemala’s presidential election, ahead of conservative businessman Manuel Baldizón and a former First Lady Sandra Torres.

In the absence of an outright winner, a run-off election will be held on October 25.
