Guatemala has convention tourism potential

Guatemala is an attractive country for convention tourism, general director of consultancy firm Consultores y Asociados de Turismo, Juan Valdés said.

The country's hotel capacity, air connectivity and number of venues make it attractive, Valdés said.

Last year, Guatemala hosted 22 events that generated $6.5 million, he added.
