Guatemala invites power bids for up to $2 billion

Guatemala’s electricity authorities and business leaders are promoting an international tender for 800 megawatts over 15 years.
The tender implies new plants using renewable resources.
So far, 13 companies have bought the terms of the tender. The total investment is reckoned to be between $1.6 billion and $2 billion.
