Guatemala's economy seen stagnant throughout 2014

Thursday, January 2, 2014

Guatemala's economy is expected to continue with a sluggish performance this year, according to experts from the San Carlos University school of economics.

The government's main challenges for this year are to improve tax collection and be more transparent with spending, the analysts said.

The experts added that the 2015 elections are expected to dominate the government's agenda and overshadow any economic decisions.
