Guatemala's exports generate $8.4 billion

Guatemala's exports reached $8.4 billion from January to October this year, according to the country's central bank.

The figure shows a stagnant exporting sector with only 0.7 percent growth compared to the same period last year.

Fruit, sugar and tobacco were the best performers, with growth rates of up to 60 percent, but two of the country's main products, coffee and cardamom, dropped 24 and 16 percent respectively.
