Friday, May 23, 2014

Guatemala's banks and microfinance institutions cover 50 percent of the country's demand for microcredit.

The country's demand for microcredit has reached $1.54 billion, said Julio Castellanos, manager of the Foundation for Agricultural and Business Development.

Guatemala will host in August the 2014 Microfinance Congress, where industry leaders will discuss topics such as regulations, risk management and electronic money, among others.
