Guatemala’s stock market is brought back to life

Five years after the last stocks were dealt, four companies issued shares on the Guatemalan stock exchange.

The companies were Inversiones Cuneo, Inversiones Preferentes, Inversiones Hulatex and Inversiones Linoleo. All four wanted to acquire export invoices.

The agent for the issue was Asesores Bursátiles de Occidente.

The brokerage said that the aim of the issue was to develop Guatemala’s capital markets.
