Guatemala's trade gap widens

Guatemala's trade gap has grown to reach $3.4 billion during the first half of the year, according to the Bank of Guatemala.
During the first six months of the year, the country exported goods worth $5.2 billion, while imports reached $8.7 billion.
Specialist Enrique Lacs considers the main reason for the widening of the trade gap is a drop in agricultural and raw material exports to Europe, due to the economic crisis.
