Guatemala seeks trade accord with India

Guatemala's Foreign Minister Carlos Raúl Morales visited New Delhi to meet with his Indian counterpart Sushma Swaraj for the first meeting towards a free trade agreement between both countries.

Bilateral trade between India and Guatemala reached $260 million last year.

India exports vehicles, machinery and pharmaceutical products, while Guatemala sells wood, paper, metal, sugar and cardamom, among others.
