Guatemala sees rise in small enterprises

The number of small companies registered in Guatemala has grown 60 percent, according to Economy vice minister Sigfrido Lee.

Of the 200,000 registered firms in the country, 180,000 are in the small and medium enterprise category.

Eighty percent of Guatemala's 4,000 active exporting firms are also in that category.
