Guatemala to house region's biggest solar park

Guatemala will be the site of Central America's largest solar energy farm, announced president Otto Pérez during a visit to Spain.

The investment for the project is expected to be about $30 million, and will generate 50 megawatts.

During the visit, Spanish investors showed interest in financing other projects, such as the construction of an inter-oceanic canal.
