Guatemala to invest $1.5 billion on roads and bridges

Guatemala's government announced that it aims to invest $1.5 billion on highways and bridges.

The plans include two turnpikes, one to link the Caribbean port of Santo Tomás de Castilla on the Caribbean and Puerto Quetzal on the Pacific.

The other turnpike will run between the borders of El Salvador and Mexico. The plans also include the construction of several roads and bridges in and around Guatemala City.
