Guatemala to spend $9 billion on public works

Guatemala aims to invest $9 billion in public works by means of an alliance between the government and the private sector, said the Economy minister, Rubén Morales.

The target is to get the program well under way by the end of the administration of President Jimmy Morales in four years’ time. The projects will include a revamped aiport and a series of new highways.
