Guatemala will have region's largest cement plant

Guatemala has announced it will build Central America's largest cement plant.
The project, known as San Gabriel, will cost $720 million to build and is expected to generate 450 direct jobs.
It will be built over 65 hectares of land, with a production capacity of 6,400 tons per day, the company said, adding it should be finished by 2016.
