Guatemalan insurers get ready to compete

Guatemala-based insurance companies have launched new services and products that seem sure to be a response to the imminent arrival of foreign insurers.

Firms that specialize and health and personal accident insurance are taking the lead.

Pan-American Life de Guatemala has launched a new service that provides hospital cover for the policy holder and his or her family all over the world. The annual cost is $3,000.
