Guatemalan mining and oil exports tumble 20 percent

Guatemala’s mining and oil exports dropped almost 20 percent in the first half of the year, compared with the same period a year ago, the Bank of Guatemala said.

The figure represents exports worth $648 million for the period, compared with the $809 million from the same period in 2015.
Oil exports alone dropped 44 percent.
