Guatemalan stores see Black Friday sales boost

Guatemalan companies will offer 50 percent discounts on their products over the weekend, following the U.S. tradition of Black Friday.

Walmart de México and Central America is forecasting a 10 to 15 percent growth in sales from Thursday to Sunday this week, according to the company's corporate director, Marcio Cuevas.

Other companies that will apply discounts are Simán, La Curacao and Electrónica Panamericana.
