Guatemalan textile industry sets $2 billion target

Guatemala's textile industry made record exports of $1.8 billion last year. This year the target is $2 billion.
The crisis in Nicaragua has favored the Guatemalan factories, with growing orders for textiles and garments.
Of last year's total, $1.3 billion of the exports went to the United States. Most of it was in sports dn fitness clothing in synthetic fibers.
