Guatemalans in U.S. generate billions

Guatemalan immigrants to the United States generated $15.58 billion in 2012, according to the Center for Latin American Monetary Studies, Cemla.
The figure represents 3.7 percent of the U.S. gross domestic product.
The study added that most of the total was generated in the state of California.
