Gunshot and ban stir up controversy in mining

Mining continues to cause controversy in Central America, after an anti-mining activist in Guatemala was seriously injured from a gunshot.
The activist, Yolanda Oqueli, rejects Canadian mining company Radius Gold's project in Tambor, Guatemala. The company condemned the violence.
Meanwhile in Costa Rica, the mining chamber is asking the government to withdraw its open-skies mining ban, claiming that this type of mining is unconstitutional.
