Hidalgo Bancorp to launch $40 million fund for projects in clean technology

Hidalgo Bancorp has announced launch of a $40 million fund to aid cleantech companies in Central America. The funding program will develop jobs and reduce carbon emissions within developing countries as Nicaragua, El Salvador, and Belize.
 
Cary Lee Peterson, president of Hidalgo Bancorp comments, “The need for positive financial aid to this part of the world can produce tremendous results for the community, economy, and the environment.”
 
The cleantech fund consists of grant and loan programs to small businesses operating in Central America that offset carbon emissions through renewable and alternative energy solutions.
