Honduran business leaders clamor for stability

Honduras business leaders have asked the government to find a solution to the current political instability which they say is destroying foreign investment.

Last week, president Porfirio Lobo's party members met at the Supreme Court to approve the dismissal of four Court justices who opposed an initiative to clean the police force of corrupt officers. Opposition party members, however, claimed it was an illegal move.

Among other factors, such as drug cartel violence and serious debt, this situation has caused companies to leave the country and move to Nicaragua or El Salvador.
