Honduran central bank urges tight rein on spending

Business leaders and the public in general have been clamoring for tighter controls on public spending in Honduras.

Now the central bank governor, María Elena Mondragón, has joined the pleas.

"A lot more has to be done to improve checks on public spending. Budgets must be respected," she said.
