Honduran fine cocoa exports to quadruple in 2014

Analysts have forecasted a four-fold increase in Honduras's fine cocoa exports by next year.

For the 2013-2014 harvest, growers expect to produce 50 tons, which would be exported mainly to the UK and Denmark, said David Posadas, technical director of Danish firm Xoco Fine Cocoa Company.

For the 2016-2017 harvest, Honduras's is seen exporting up to 30 containers to Europe, each worth some $600,000.
