Honduran wind farm secures $127 million

Honduras's San Marcos wind farm has secured a $127 million credit line from five international institutions, the Netherlands Development Finance Company, FMO, said.

The financing was given by FMO, Germany's DEG, France's Proparco, the OPEC Fund and the Special Climate Change Fund.

The 50-Megawatt project is located in the Southwest of Honduras, and is expected to start operating in early 2015.
