Honduras aims for farm exports of more than $800 million including new products

The government of Honduras is hoping to beat the nation's 2011 earnings from farm products by promoting diversification.

The target for the current year is to be set by the Ministry of Agriculture.

New products that are to be promoted include Asian vegetables. Meanwhile sowings of cocoa and African palm are to be increased.
