Honduras cuts remittances growth forecast

Wednesday, August 20, 2014

Honduras cut its remittances growth forecast for this year, from 3.1 percent to 2.5 percent.

The country's central bank said that mass deportations of Hondurans from the U.S. will affect the flow of remittances.

From January to July, Honduras received $1.95 billion in remittances, $109 million more than in the same period last year.
