Honduras declares tourism a national priority

The President of Honduras, Juan Orlando Hernández, declared tourism a national priority.

The initiative was welcomed by the country's private sector, as it promises to bring development and investment.

The government will send an application to the World Tourism Organization to sign the 'Golden Book of Travel and Tourism', which will allow the country easier access to funds for the development of the sector.
