Honduras exported less melon and watermelon

Friday, March 10, 2017

Melon and watermelon foreign currency income fell by 6.2 percent at the end of 2016, according to data from the Central Bank of Honduras.

The bank said that these products generated $53.3 million, $3.5 million less than in the previous year, mainly because of a decline in international prices. Melon and watermelon exports recorded a decline even though the country's producing companies had made investments to increase the export volume.
