Honduras fears 20 percent increase on energy spending as oil prices rise

As summer arrives, Honduras is likely to face an increase of about 20 percent in fuel costs, experts maintain.

As oil prices surge on world markets, the state-owned electricity government is having to readjust tariffs.

Traditionally, peak consumption occurs in April and May, the hottest months of the year.
