Friday, April 1, 2011

The government of Honduras has awarded a 10.2 percent increase to those on the minimum wage. The award is backdated to the beginning of the year.

The increase means $45 more a month for half a million workers.

Other workers in an economically active population of some 2.4 million, are not included because their wages are covered under trade union agreements or because they earn $400 a month.
