Honduras is the largest exporter of vegetables in Central America
Honduras, which increased vegetable exports by 10 percent between 2015 and 2016, is now the largest exporter of vegetables in Central America, stated Francisco Herrera, the coordinator of Agribusiness of the Ministry of Agriculture.
The country exports its horticultural products to the United States; its main trading partner. Some of the products that stand out are the taro, cassava, cucumbers, gherkins, squashes, colored chilies, and oriental vegetables.
