Honduras loses millions of dollars to fuel contraband

Fuel contraband is causing millions of dollars in losses to the Honduran State.

"Annual losses caused by fuel contraband account for some 10 percent of the total fuel import bill," said the country's Minister for Trade and Industry, Adonys Lavaire.

According to the Ministry, last year the State lost $231 million, of the total $2.31 billion in fuel imports.
