Honduras prepares financing for hydroelectric plant

A Honduran business committee is planning a visit to China on September 24 in order to secure financing for the Patuca hydroelectric project.

Emil Hawitt, director of the Honduran state electricity company, ENEE, said the credit would be for some $295 million.

When completed, the expected capacity of the hydroelectric plant will be of 326 gigawatts each year.
