Honduras tourism dropped 10 percent since 2008

Tourism in Honduras grew 12 percent in 2008, but in 2012, it grew only 2 percent.
Crime is one of the leading causes in the decline, an could put the Government's goal of earning $700 million in tourism this year at risk.
The situation is more worrying after countries such as the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and Japan warned their citizens about the dangers of travelling to Honduras.
