Honduras trade surplus still low

Honduras has a trade surplus with only nine out of the 32 countries it has bilateral trade relations with, the country's central bank said.

In first place is Germany, with a surplus of $116 million, followed by Nicaragua, with $50 million, and the Netherlands, with $45 million, while the rest are Belgium, Venezuela, the UK, France, Canada and Sweden.

Honduras's total exports reached $2.18 billion in the first half of this year, while imports totalled $4.6 billion.
