Honduras wood exports soar 65 percent
Friday, August 1, 2014
Honduras's exports of wood grew 65 percent in the first five months of the year, compared with the same period in 2013, according to the country's central bank.
The figure means the country's wood exports reached $3.3 million, the highest figure in the past six years.
However, exporters say sales will slow down for the rest of the year, due to less demand from the Caribbean customers and an increase in operating costs.
