India opens embassy in Guatemala with promise to create investment projects

Emphasizing the importance of Central American integration, India has officially opened its embassy in Guatemala.
E Ahamed, minister of state for external affairs met vice-foreign minister Carlos Raúl Morales of Guatemala and discussed wide ranging bilateral issues as well as new investment opportunities in the country.
Ahamed conveyed India’s decision to provide a credit line of $10 million for development projects in Guatemala, with emphasis on the oil and railways sectors.
