Indigenous protesters challenge Panama hydro project
The government of Panama is carrying out its plans to build the Changuinola II hydroelectric plant, in Bocas del Toro, while the indigenous community in that area is planning to protest against it.
Some weeks ago, Energy minster Vicente Prescott said there were already important developments in the project.
As for the indigenous community, the minister said they had held talks with them in order to "do everything right and involve them in the project from the beginning".
