Insurance firms in Costa Rica boom

The insurance sector in Costa Rica grew by 25 percent in this year’s first quarter, while consumers cashed in on a new range of options for cover.

Some 655 policies were on offer from 13 companies, compared with less than 50 that were available in 2009.
